Ar Sonali Bhagwati graduated with a degree in Architecture from C.E.P.T, Ahmadabad. She was trained with Architect Bernard Kohn, as the recipient of a scholarship from L’Institute Francaise D’Architecture. She started Spazzio Design Architecture in partnership with Sohrab Dalal. She is currently President of DPA, which has several award-winning projects. She has received several awards and her work has been widely published.
• She has in-depth knowledge about the city and has done a research thesis on Urban Metamorphosis with a case study of the Kashmere Gate area over a period of 180 years. She has conducted heritage walks in the Kashmere Gate area as a part of the Conservation Society, Delhi.
• Under DUAC she has been involved in the restructuring of the building bye-laws for Delhi as well as a proposal for rejuvenation of Shahjenabad. She is involved in several Suo Motu City projects taken up by DUAC.
